Diabetes UK 10000 steps challenge: Walk your way to better health while helping Diabetes UK raise funds and awareness.

Race towards a good cause: Whether you’re a walker, runner, or obstacle course adventurer, there’s an event waiting for you! Join Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and choose from 3K, 5K, or 10K routes, or take on the muddy fun of Pretty Muddy for all ages while raising funds for life-saving cancer research. Or show your support for survivors of domestic abuse by taking part in the Race for Women’s Aid – from inflatable obstacle courses to half marathons, every mile and every pound raised helps make a real difference.

Cycle, ride, roll for a cause: Wheels for Wellbeing host weekly inclusive cycling sessions. Or hop on your bike, or your choice of wheels, and pedal with purpose – whether it’s cycling to Paris, the Normandy beaches, or taking on a historical ride to support the Royal British Legion. Every turn of the wheel helps honour veterans and support those who’ve served.

Dive with purpose: Charity swimathons and sponsored swims are a fantastic way to make a splash for a good cause. Try iconic events like the Swim Serpentine or the Great North Swim to raise money for Breast Cancer Now – a powerful way to swim in solidarity and support life-saving research. Or take the plunge with Dive into Dementia, organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, and help make waves in dementia support and awareness.

Top health benefits of moving more

We often forget how powerful movement can be. Here’s what moving your body more can give you:

Mood: Moving releases endorphins, your body’s natural mood boosters, helping ease anxiety, lift your spirits, and reduce stress.

Sleep: Physical activity can help you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper, more restorative sleep.

Heart Health: Just a bit of regular movement each day supports your cardiovascular system and lowers your risk of chronic disease.

Immunity: Staying active helps your immune system stay strong and ready to protect you.

Energy: Regular movement boosts circulation and oxygen flow, helping you feel more energised and alert.

Weight & Balance: Movement supports a healthy weight, improves coordination, and builds strength for everyday life.

Choose your challenge, get moving, and let’s groove together for good!

Get Inspired!
